About Ty Jensen

Russell Tyrone “Ty” Jensen, a native of the great State of Utah is a Republican Candidate for the 2024 United States Senate seat. He is seeking election in the Republican Convention and Primary against one-term incumbent Senator Mitt Romney.

Jensen ran as a Write-In for the U.S. Senate in 2018 against current Senator Mitt Romney and ran with 2 others against Congressman Chris Stewart in 2020 in the Republican Convention.

“I ran twice, once as a write-in and the last as a UTCD2 convention candidate but gained the knowledge and fortitude to run a successful grassroots campaign this go around for the United States Senate seat that is up for grabs in 2024. Remember, Michael Jordan didn’t win a championship his first 6 years before winning, heck he didn’t even get past the first round for the first 3 years.”

Jensen served as a State Delegate to help select U.S. Senator Lee’s re-election along with Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, plus his State local House Rep in 2022-23. He is also seeking nominations for the SCC or State Central Committee plus to serve as a representative for the national delegates for the 2024 Presidential Nomination.

Ty Jensen is the son of Russell Grooms and Carol Lynn Jensen-Grooms (both deceased) who help shape him into the freedom fighter and patriotic loving American he is. His father Russell served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War while his mother Carol was a small business owner in central Utah.

Jensen attended Utah Valley State now Utah Valley University from 2003-2006 and was a Student Assistant with the coaching staff to the Men’s Basketball program. Then did a Basketball Internship with a fellow coach and friend at Southern Utah University from 2012-2013. It was at SUU during the 2012 Presidential Election that captivated him into federal politics along with the political center on campus that he regularly attended and even debated fellow students and professors.

“If you would have said to me at UVU at age 21-24 that one day I would run as a candidate for anything in politics outside basketball I would have laughed in your face, but now over a decade later, here we are and there is no going back.”

Ty lived in Richfield until age 21 then moved to Utah Valley for the next seven years, then moved to Salt Lake County for five years with a brief stint in Iron County in that mix. Due to family medical emergencies, he moved back to Richfield where he currently resides.

“Living in the Wasatch Front was an amazing experience and I learned so so much from politics, business, personal growth, ect……..I wouldn’t trade it for the universe. I didn’t ever think I’d ever live back in rural Utah ever again, but I’m glad I have lived in all three stagges of life in Rural, Suberban, and Urban. It gave and currently gives me far better understanding of how to truely help our Utah citizens.”

Ty understands the poverty, working-class, and middle class and has worked in the retail, service industry, sports coaching and officiating, as well as marketing & business ownership over his lifetime. He currently works in the small business industry as well as on entertainment and informational social media platforms such as Raw and Real Politics, Tasty Nation Food, and American Travels.

“I understand the everyday American Worker cause that’s what I am and that’s who I care about!”

Candidate Jensen is ready to take on any and all in 2024 and is greatly looking forward to the travel, meeting the people, and winning not just the primary, but also the general election to have a strong Utah – United States First voice in Washington D.C., working for Utah citizens as the States, United States Senator.
